The following four infographics provide an overview of the information obtained through data collection in Round 2 on the migration flows from Venezuela. Economic reasons are the main driver for displacement from Venezuela and 73% of the assessed individuals are under 35 years old. 67% of the evaluated population lives in Peru with their family and 36% had been displaced internally in Venezuela before moving to Peru.
It is estimated that more than 1 million Venezuelans are currently living abroad. In the South American region, most Venezuelan migrants are in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The DTM exercise conducted at flow monitoring points (FMPs), shows that 62.2% of the interviewed migrants are male and 37,4% are female. Most Venezuelan migrants are coming from the Capital’s District (15.8%), Táchira (15.8%) and Carabobo (12.8%).
