Round XXI identified 1,782,490 individuals as displaced in the affected states, representing an increase of 4.5% increase compared to the population identified in Round XX (December 2017). The increase is a deviation from the downward trend in the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) recorded over the last few months. 83,925 displaced persons were interviewed in this round of assessment, representing five per cent of the identified IDP population. This report also includes site assessments that were carried out in 2,244 sites. The sites included 257 camps and camp-like settings and 1,987 locations where IDPs were residing with host communities.
